Since Japan is a bit short on event equipment, I’m going to give a few examples, even if it’s just with this thing:

Type 97 Scope Version: Not much is known about how the Japanese captured it, but in this photo we can see American soldiers with a captured Japanese Type 97 anti-tank rifle, equipped with an 8x Unertl scope; it is known to be in Okinawa in 1945.

Type 97 with Shield and 200MM Grentade: Few people know this, but the Type 97 had a kind of front protector, and thanks to the Jesus of Forgotten Weapons, we can see it, also I include the HEAT Ji-Te prototype, who was in theory capable to penetrate around 200-250 mm

I want too, but you know allied faction and soviets will cry loud about being too op, fuck, I remember in old times in campaign period they tried nerf the type 97 Just nerf Type 97 AT rifle already
Compared to the other AT rifles it really could be considered “overpowered”
easy nerf, the HEAT one must be used like the battlepas LMG or solothum and prone

I don’t really see how it would be op tbh. Since it uses a HEAT grenade, the advantages of Type 97 like the high penetration bullet and semi auto fire doesn’t really matter. It will just be a plus size HEAT grenade launcher.
you already see a comment complaining about being OP, and I remeber they tried nerf type 97 in campaign period, allied and soviet mains hate japan due their strong crazy playerbase when japan actually its not OP as they think, yes tokyo arsenal br IV, yes Br V the auto rifle hei (best in game and I accept it) but many weapons and tanks are less powerful than soviet or american counterpart, planes are decent but you know how people is
I prefer the Type 97 with AT grenade to be in TT BR IV just like GrB-39 because it would be a preferable alternative to the “lend lease” JP Panzerschreck
