AT rifles should have to be mounted or you have to be prone to fire them. They were not fired at the hip or shouldered standing. Being able to run about popping shots off with them like that is utterly silly and unrealistic.

I’m fairly certain it’s because there’s no mounting/bipod system in-game yet, but you may very well be right.

yes you could but the recoil and aim would be effected. a way to balance this is aim sway for aiming to long.
No. Doctrine was that they were always deployed on their bipods. They were weapons ment to be used by a squad of 2 during transporting. They weigh much, much more than a regular rifle and the recoil from firing was so severe you could bruise your shoulder. While there have been some video’s on some crazy russian shoulder firing a PTRS, this is very unrealistic for an average soldier. It also makes it practically impossible to aim it at anything smaller than a house
its a game, so unless your going to take out all the other unrealistic shit that gos on lets not talk about it.
In a lot of arcade style shooters sniper rifles reign supreme because they can universally oneshot. The only downside these AI rifles have in comparison to those is no sprint and lower rate of fire. giving them the need to be deployed by bipod (which is a planned feature for both LMGs and AT rifles, confirmed by the devs) would simply make a lot of sense. I do hope to see more realisticness in this game myself, so i hope we can adress those other unrealistic things over time.
You can pick and choose what realism and unrealism you want to achieve your desired balance in a game. You don’t have to go full one or the other.
Well they could make it after every shot the solider would lose his balance and fall on his back because of the recoil. But I guess that would be strange to look at. xD
