AT rifles in Tunisia desperately need a buff

It takes 4 shots to take out enemy tank’s engine and also 4 shots to take out a wheel, a rubber wheel. They need serious buff to their post pen damage, double it at least.
(I play with PzB 38 but I guess that allied equivalent also performs poorly as I haven’t seen it even once.)

Also, are AT rifles that bad in Moscow too?

No why, I one shotted the british shit tank with the Panzerbüchse from about 30m distance. Straight into the Ammo rack. Like

The soviet PTRD is ok as an AT rifle, but it is EXCELLENT as a sniper rifle!!!

When I hit the ammo it changed colour to light yellow.
I have more succes with sturmpistole than with PzB and that says something about this gun.

Yes for german ones, they were made with ww1 experience in mind, not so good.
The ptrd works a bit better, perhaps because it shoots a bigger round. But not by much.

Best is to incapacitate tanks by shooting threads… then finish it with tnt.

The Granatbüchse-39 is funny however. It’s not that much better, but it definitely causes panic for tankers. Shooting them with it makes them believe that another tank shoots at them (impact is noisy) and they will definitely stop what they were doing either trying to roll away or panic.

The piat is effective enough on the low armoured tanks it faces, for Tunisia.

As for Moscow ptrs… ah! On paper it got a bit less pen value… but you can shoot 5 of those huge rounds as fast as any semi auto rifle. It wrecks.

Well truth to be told… both. :stuck_out_tongue:

Haven’t used the boys, but the PZB is more than sufficient. I can pen the front of an A13’s turret at ~250m

I use the AT rifles to push buildings and trenches

Last time I tried, all my rounds vanished.

But I’ll try.

German ATR’s easily penetrate BT-7 and T-26, Soviet ones barely notice hte P3B armour … everything else why bother - use det packs!

Some videos:

Taking out a Daimler wheel from point blank - 3 shots
Also accidentally an engine.

Shooting Daimler fuel tank - 3 shots

Shooting A13 front ammo rack - 3 shots

Shooting A13 back ammo rack - 5 shots

So yeah… skill issue I guess.

(I admit that those weren’t the best shots possible but it will be only worse in the battlefield conditions.)

It’s hard to use detpacks if enemy tank is out of bounds.

just run ther and die
Ands if it is too far away to do thant then it is prolly too far awy for an ATR to do anything too.

And in actual games f-a tanks stick in the grey - it’s a massive beat up by somepeople

except soviet AT with which I have better results in general, yeah… From what I know from the Moscow, I will just max out the squad for lols, but using AT slot on other squads would be waste of space.

German AT went from solid in alpha and CBT to terrible (at least in my experience).

Are you seriously? If enemy infantry stupid - easy.If enemy infantry not stupid - hard.

Except certain maps grey zone is so wast, that you can snipe from long distance, knowing that most detpack attempts will be stopped by it.
