This can also be done on maps like Crimea or Leningrad.

Such shell will be too powerful for the small Enlisted map. How are you gonna balance it?

Probably for those game modes where you need to plant bombs instead of it blowing up once the single point or both points are taken theres a barrage that comes in that kills anyone in the area so it clears out the few enemies in the area and gives attackers time to set new rally points or push

Definitely but they would need new maps like Iwo Jima and Okinawa so they had cave and bunker systems for balance.

I definitely think it would be a nice unique mechanic in d-day with all the ships already… maybe pacific maps they add new visuals for the artillery…

probaby the same way as the rocket arty for each faction is balanced. Despite the jp one beeing 150mm and the german 158mm rockets they all share the stats for the 82mm ones the USSR has for rockets.

It’s like a 500 kg bomb. Although I think the bomb would be even more powerful, since it contains more explosives.
3-4 such shells are more than normal.

OP’s suggestion is to replace arty with battleship barrage. What you are saying is a completely different function instead of balancing OP’s suggestion.

So nerf the shell to be weak? Then what’s the point of battleship barrage if the shell is weak?
