Artillery strikes on teammates

So recently almost all games have had at someone putting artillery strikes so that it blocks your team from either going to the capture area or ON the capture area to weaken the defences, or in other ways harass teammates.

It’s impossible to report whoever does that, as you can’t really know whose artillery strike it is.

My suggestion is: add identifiers as to when a teammate damages you, and whose artillery strikes are where on the map (hover over to show name of who has placed it).

And allow a kick option, where team damage affects how many votes is required for kicking the player.
(Say, someone with 50 damage requires everyone in the team to vote them out, but someone with 1000 requires only 1 vote)

Introducing a system similar to this would reduce griefing or at least the cancerousness of griefing.

I’ve had a few games where the troller targets me specifically, as I was holding most of the enemies back at the games (doing arty myself and holding a key area from beind crossed by sniping the survivors)

This can actually make the game unplayable for the team that has the troller.

Or we could nerf the artillery perk so instead of every 30 seconds you can call down every 2 minutes.

You admit that you don’t know who is doing it - so why assume that it is a teamkiller when an opposing player is a much more obvious and reasonable explanation??

You can easily identify friendly arty fire in the kill feed. It is as plain as day who the player is. I play arty alot and sometimes kill friendlies when they push into an area I have called a strike on.

A vote and kick system wouldn’t be good in my opinion. we already have players quitting maps or quitting because life is hard. I’ve seen people even saying they insta quit if they arent in a match with their cross play friends. It is not unusual now to be 5 minutes into a battle and find you are at a 3 player disadvantage. I haven’t seen any arty trolling in my many hours of playing.

If artillery is raining down people on both sides are going to die.

I think the artillery is way ott in Enlisted. They need to dumb the frequency down imo. I played in a game today where it didn’t stop on one capture point for the whole game.

a) increase arty strike cooldown
b) at the same time, add smoke screen and other support abilities for radio so it can be useful without HE spam
c) tweak cooldown times and effectiveness of all abilities so none of them are useless

I like arty like it is. Seriously. To increase the time make it almost useless in my opinion to play as radio operator.

And If I die from friendly fire, I cant care less. No repair costs. I just take next spawn.

Maybe it would help if we can actively ask to drop arty somewhere.

Except when they don’t kill you, but instead just make your screen go shakymode for the next 3 years.

A vote kick option wouldn’t affect people leaving as long as it targets griefers.¨
I’d rather have 1 less player than a griefer. I’ll go even further; I think griefers are a reason people quit the game.

Because you kind of know that when it’s in an area the enemy can’t reach with their arty, targeting your teams movement to not be able to search themselves into position.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to add that up does it.

Accidental friendly fire is one thing, griefing is not.

I don’t really understand why someone would oppose implementing something like this, as it doesn’t affec the gameplay, just makes it easier to spot & punish griefers, which is all around a positive.

Balance is a different issue, which I don’t really care to comment in this.

lol - because they won’t have any friends marking anything will they… or they won’t have played your side on that map and have some idea where you might be moving… oh no… nothing like that.

So no actual evidence - no screenshots showing who killed you for example - 'cos the game does show when you kill team mates y’know… just the usual blaming someone must be trolling because they are doing something you aren’t clever enough to manage to do yourself…

no rocket scientists involved in your analysis for sure…gotcha!

That’s unrealistic
