Artillery smoke needs a change

Artillery smoke is amazing - it looks cool, creates cool scenes and can really help a team cover deadly ground.

The problem is that it is on teh same timer as regualar artillery so no one wants to use it instead of artillery which gets you XP.

Its even worse because only artillery teams can call it where as there are artillery guys in many teams that can call artillery and stop the 1 guy on a team wanting to use smoke…from using it.

Several possible improvements…
change smoke so its on its own seperate timer and “supply chain” from artillery - so smoke and artillery can be called at the same time.

allow any artillery guy to call smoke, not just those in teh artillery team.

give engineer squad artillery guys that can only call smoke.

What did they change?

You can have smoke and HE fire missions at the same time?

that is what id like yes - so people dont have to choose between calling in smoke or artillery (because smoke never wins)

unfortunately I can’t find it, it was approx a moth ago though, under some news there’s been conversation going on between players and keofox I believe, he claimed that he will collect all the suggestion under this topic regarding the artillery smoke call although there was some addition suggestions too

I personally think the artillery smoke should be bigger instead of a straight line have it cover a big area similar to artillery bombs

I like the line as it is. You dont really need to put artillery on the thing you want to get to, you just put the line down between your buys and the bad guys so it obscures vision. Weather anyones actually in the smoke or not.
