Artillery progression upgrade?

as the current system stands you can drop shells every 30 seconds with the upgrade, but and just a suggestion, maybe a proximity fuze upgrade with a 60 second recharge? maybe every third shell would be proximity fuzed to help balance?

I dont think the threat of arty needs to be changed. because if you are standing in the circle after the first targeting shots. you deserve to be killed. The fuse upgrade might make it worse if the 30 second cool down was still there because it can be more constant spam. I dont really see it as a useful feature to be honest

Certainly not appropriate for Moscow or Berlin - by date for Moscow and also because neither Germany nor USSR had them at any stage in WW2!!

and don’t think hte allies used prox fuses for aretillery until lkate 22 or early 45?? So pretty a-historic for Normandy too - noit that that stops much!!

i think that won’t work, the better solution for it is to either have a 1 min cool down so at least its not painfully long or limit the arty squad to 2-3 squads max like the vehicles

the us and the brits co devolved them early in ww2, and the both the u.s and the brits used them to great effect.

That’d be why I said up the recharge time, but there are time when I D.I a squad and kill maybe 1.

The use of them in army artillery in place of timed rounds for airburst wasn’t done until late in 1944 - battle of the bulge I’m reading now.

They were, of course, intended originally for AAA use and production started in 1942 - but that isn’t reflected in Enlisted.

I still just dont know, I feel like arty is fine as it is. Except that cool down. To me, there is already a huge amount of explosive spam and adding a timed fuse might make it more of a issue. If your refering to airburst like what Josephs is talking about. That would be a big no thank you. I dont want another battlefield airburst annoying weapon.

Obviously you’ve never played a game where you’ve had 4 continuous artillery circles blocking the entire vicinity of the spawn to the objective.

I have had that happen, also had arties surrounding the point that we were ment to be attacking. The threat of arty is fine. the 30 second cool down needs to be increased to atleast a minute or 2 minutes to reduce the spam.

Yep - but ironically makes hte game easier because that is 4 player squads that are busy hiding at hte back rather than risk their artillery.

People haveto get used to taking casualties in this game - the ferocious and very lethal infantry combat is not realistic in the least!!

Just suicide the point with one soldier at a time then, you will get capture progress and there won’t be any defenders on point.

Artillery is fine and genuine, as long as they ccould provide the opposing faction with a legitimate and equal power it would be totally fun and cool.

But atm, it’s not like that at all or I’m in the wrong game region or something.

Now even Moscow just seems to be one sided as well for some reason I’m seeing bullets but no players.
