I’ve noticed periodically that when I call in Artillery, it gets acknowledged but the artillery barrage doesn’t take place. I never noticed if this happened in common games as the artillery is basically non stop, but I’ve noticed it in custom matches when I am the only one calling for it. I call for it, wait for it and it never comes. It gets acknowledged, and when I try to recall it, it shows that I have to wait since I just called for it. This doesn’t happen much, maybe one game out of 20 or 30, but just curious as if anyone else has noticed this.

yup, happens to me.
usually when the arty guy is downed or stuck in an ammo box or house etc

It even happens if I call it from my moving APC, so, no chance my Arty guy was stuck in an ammo box at that point. However, I get a lot of guys stuck in crates and stuck to the wall like they were spiderman or something. 
It doesn’t work if you call it from a vehicle or AT/AA emplacement. It doesn’t matter if your radio chap is in or out of the unit, you’re the one who needs to be on foot for it to work.

But for some reason, it works when you’re chilling in an MG nest.

Mine usually works when I am calling it from my APC, but whether I call it from my stationary radioman on the ground or with my radioman on the fly in the APC, it works 90% of the time, but on some rare occasions, I call it in and wait for it to never materialize. I like to time my rushing in assault to the very end of the artillery barrage, which usually works great, unless it doesn’t come.
