Ariska Mortar

I’ve had four of the Soviet RMN-50 for quite a while, but rarely play BR3 with them so I’ve hardly ever used it. I also now have four of the Japanese Ariska Mortar and have just started using it. After trying it out at the firing range, it seemed the range was short. However, I just played a couple custom Japanese matches in Omer (surprisingly, I had no jerking, freezing or glitchy moments ). Anyway, I was peering out an upstairs window and saw about half a doze dudes standing far away coming out a building door, so, I arched the Ariska up in the air and was shocked when I hit and killed them all. I got the next group that followed. So, I guess the range is not as short as I had thought.

It has slower muzzle velocity so it’s harder to aim at range. I’m yet to get used to it’s drop off. But aoe radius are about the same.

I aimed like I was trying to shoot it well over that far building, and they landed almost to the building. Of course, I was on the second floor so that probably helped. I didn’t think they would get their, but now I know the range.

I’m not the most accurate shooter normally, but I’m a natural instictual shooter, so the “fire and forget” style of shooting for the Arisaka Mortar suits me well.

Just peak, take a guessing long shot, switch to primary to focus on closer threat, drop the first guy as the mortar round drops half a squad halfway across the map. Sometimes it just works.

Don’t ask me about the times I’ve missed though.

 I aimed twice as high as the building. I must be somewhat decent at calculating in my brain distance because I killed a Panzer tank from quite a ways away with an M9 bazooka by arching it up in the air, expecting it to fall well short. However, I have short chucked several explosion packs at tanks too many times as well. :joy:
