They said players can get XP from custom battles just like regular games in the previous update, then they found out it’s too fast for players to level up so they roll back all the progressions???
Don’t tell me about the bug to trap AI because I never did that, nor did most players. They rolled back almost all the active players I know, even their progression in regular PVP games that several days.
It’s their own decision to bring this, now they are labeling players as “dishonest” and try to divide the players to cover their own faults. I thought EA was bad, but those developers are at a completely different level.
tbh IT IS their fault too for even letting this happened by OK-ing that custom battle should give XP.
If they were to say that custom battle don’t give XP from the start. nobody would even complain.
as it’s dev fault too, can we have at least the 20 bots back. Just remove the xp completely i dont care.
DF plz
I agree that if they said no xp in custom battles at the beginning no one would complain. But they cheated the players to get online to play and then take back everything later. That’s intentional fraud, which is a completely different story.
I wouldn’t say it is intentional but more likely the didn’t thought it well. I only experienced the academy update and that feels hasty since there are so many holes and issues they didn’t think about. There are now dead nodes in squad tree because huge reserve pool is no longer needed, premium with +100% reserve, no UI to replace academy to see and manage you troops in one screen, inability to start new campaign or faction due to lack of silver orders. I started several weeks ago and I’m glad I managed to get troopers for bronze to fill up my initial squads but now I’m tied to one faction/campaign and I’m waiting for new system. At least rank I basic rifleman should be purchasable for bronze. So no, I don’t think it was intentional. Unprofessional for sure.
I am not talking about the decision to introduce the custom battles is a fraud. But, they regret their own decision, break their promises and blame the players, that’s 100% intentional. I mean, even they make a claim like “This is not a considerate decision so we have to roll back, sorry about that”, it would be much better than what they created now. Their arrogance just wiped all the credits they built up, and it could be just the beginning.
as it’s dev fault too, can we have at least the 20 bots back. Just remove the xp completely i dont care.

^This. At this point, it’s really odd that they don’t just either remove XP gain entirely from the CM’s, or put some sort of hard cap on how much you can earn in a single match or something along those lines. Like by not implementing the higher bot count back, they are just killing this mode before it even got to truly shine. Which is sad bc I personally fell instantly in love with this mode the very first match of hardcore squads I played.
And honestly after all this bs, idk if I even have the motivation to open the game at this point I haven’t played since I got online the other day to check if they had really done this change. And now I’m in a state of limbo again with this game. Where I’m not even playing the game, but I’m sticking around, lurking on the forum to see what happens. Lol but even then, I feel as tho I’m losing motivation to do that as well I just hope the devs pull their heads out of their ass and do what’s right for the game and for the player base as a whole.
from the point of view of the developers the matches against ai are certain victories, you cannot lose, if you use a lot of stacked booster / premium / play it for hours, and you go on in the campaign much more than you would have done with normal games then it is an exploit, in this includes doing a lot of games on the same map, using powerful weapons like lmg to better kill bots, preventing the movement of ally or enemy ai to facilitate grinding etc. obviously many were punished even those who actually did not know it was an exploit, or just played a lot against bots, and this is bad but the fault in this case is: both of the development team who knew from the beginning that it would happen ( talked about it for months) both of the players who acted just for their own interests as good dickheads.
