Everyone of them feels clunky and then the second it gets hit by a stray rifle bullet you spiral into an uncontrollable 360 degree spin. Is this working as intended? I thought dive bombers like the Il-2 and Stuka are suppose to take a decent amount of damage from flak and small arms before just turning into pieces of junk.

I found on the Soviet biplane that once its control cable takes any amount of damage it starts to yaw and it will NEVER stop, its not like the cable is cut but the pilot oversteers constantly.
I think the plane damage models are a work in progress, I mean how many WW2 era planes do you think were shot down with one rifle shot? Not any would be my guess.
