It’s not new, there’s a desertion problem amongst players in matches. I myself do so in the beginning of matches when I know it will be pointless or a map I dislike.
However… And I think it’s because of the personnel stats, now a LOT of ppl desert in the LAST SECONDS of a match. It’s absolutely stupid to do so, you wasted a good 20 mins playing and you desert at the last minute, suffering a -25% xp penalty for what… Personnel stats? Bragging rights on forums/reddit? There’s NO other possible reason such a mass of players would disconnect at the last minute all along, incurring xp penalties. Unless disconnecting when reinforcements are at 0 gives no penalty, I’m not certain so if anyone know please clarify.
It was a bit of a sad match. But… boosters, you know…

Allaied not in field/AFK/dead player, wo are dead for more than 20 second are grey in the scorebord, disconetted or deserter have their symbol near their name
You still have the 0.7xp multiplayer in anymode expect conquest if you quit with 0 reinforcement

So my theory is correct: the 3 ppl whose names I hid all disconnected in the last minute. It’s remarkably dumb, as they’ll suffer xp penalties, only to have a better win/lost ratio!
Thought I admit they would not have made a lot of xp anyway…

Honestly, did it matter? You tried to play a 3vs8 here. I think that is the problem that should be addressed more.
I don’t give a dang about my personal stats and I would never leave for a win rate ratio when I get penalized for much needed cards. It’s beyond my understanding.

It did not, I “gave up” mid game and proceeded in bombing tanks. Think I’m finally getting the hang of flying bombers. But it also gave me time to look at the scoreboard and the ppl in it. Surprisingly, we were more than 3 (granted, the rest were really bad) and as I crashed my plane (good finale on a grey zoning tank) I observed while in spectator mode most players in my team decided to dc in the last minute… I myself had to wait around a minute for the counter to end.
Which means some ppl desert MORE, BECAUSE of personal stats! I never saw such desertion rates before it got implemented.

It’s simply a pro an con situation for me
- If I invest precious time in a match, I stay, even if I lose.
- If I spawn in an already started match or one with a map I dislike, I leave (during the first minute)
Duh, you should save Newbies any time any map
Thats all they need 
I play to have fun, if im not having fun and feel that i’m being pushed into tryharding, i’ll simply desert i don’t care anymore about the grind and stat shaming can F with it !

Sure don’t care, playing like i used to was bad for my health and affected my love for the game, sure sometimes a sweaty super hard match is very fun but not all the times, then it becomes a problem
That’s what the f2p Moscow Axis experience from lvl 0 to 36 is and what it did to me
No wonder why i despise the Soviets so much, even though before Enlisted i liked Soviets in ww2, now i don’t.

It’s his own problem if he’s so stupid that he quits when he played for half an hour. AND even get an XP penalty. If victory was far away anyway, it didn’t matter. Much worse when they step out in the middle of a battle. But it’s not much better when in the beginning. You can defend yourself by saying that, “but MM will put someone in my place” or “I didn’t waste my team RP” “I play for fun”. MM may not put a player in your place when there are hardly find any players. Anyway, you screwed up with your team. The new rank system is trying to find a solution to this. But I think the bigger problem is that you lost when you were on the loading screen, because yes it was a 3vs8. Anyone who can’t collect 1000score in half an hour is the bot category.
