Well, I was on Facebook last night and surprised to see a link to play Active Matter, so I clicked on the link and it took me to their website. However, unlike Enlisted, it ain’t free. To be honest, just seeing this is actually my first disappointment with the game. ![]()
After the first week, almost no one around me played this game anymore. They are all waiting for another game: Rules of Engagement: The Grey State
I haven’t bought it, and when I do it will be the cheap one as I have already given Gaijin way to much money as it is. When Rules of Engagement come out, I will check it out.
You can wait for a free trial on steam
I bought it and it feels like lone wolf vs squads with bad optimisation.
Aka tarkov #2
It has been out for a while now. I dont think it has that many players left and definitely not as much as enlisted has. I have no idea why we got abandoned for this
I’ll probably wait for that, as I had seen that it wasn’t yet for sale on Steam.
Gaijin lacks leadership with
vision. ![]()

Active matter? It is a lot better thought out than Enlisted f’sure - it’s my first extraction shooter and I’m enjoying it even tho’ I’m pretty crap.
Different genre to Enlisted, so not the same target market - but it is definitely a better game overall.
To be fair…Enlisted isn’t either…you benefit from Premium, need the BP, Premium squads are usually better, etc, etc.
I think I understand the idea of this new event - they want our masochism level to grow up, so we will get used to it and become an audience of their new extraction shooter

And this is why I have spent entirely too much money on this game. Fortunately, I am retired and have nothing else to spend on, so it doesn’t hurt me at this point in my life. Although I still hate constantly spending money on a video game.
Active matter from what I can see would appeal maybe to my 19 year old son, but I don’t personally see myself playing it much, and I am certainly NOT spending another dime on it.
