i’m really starting to thing you have never flown this plane if you attribute “sustainable turns” to it.
Which to note i haven’t had it in my lineup but twice since the meteor came out but the times i did use it i remember being underwhelmed by how it flew… especially with its ability to keep energy in turns even when doing proper methods to keep it.
im starting to think you might have a slight skill issue

Everything depends stupidly on quantity 
Because the flaps on AP-4C is very strong, even when you are in dive and in very high speed you can chuck flaps to ‘landing’ right away and just start turning without worry of breaking your flaps. It can also maintain the turn rate relatively well even at very low speed like below 200 TAS even when the flaps fully deployed which is ‘landing’ for AP-4C, that’s why i said it has a ‘good sustainable turn’. This is good enough to dog fight other fighters. Now ofc, it isn’t Spitfire and it won’t be winning any fights against japanese fighter aircrafts but it is good enough to beat the german ones, which is good enough for a fighter with 8x HVAR and 4x 20mm cannons.
Like on many other aircrafts and some have even airbrake. Fiat G 55 can use flaps all the time. P 47 also and La 7 ,I 185 and all the jets and they have airbrake normally AP-4C is supposed to have airbrake when it deploy its flaps but it doesn’t work in Enlisted. So there is many aircrafts with unique mechanics and some even bugged aircrafts. Ki 87, J2M3 also has strong flaps literally a lot of aircrafts. The unique thing about AP-4C is that when it deploy its flaps its supposed to have airbrake also when it uses its flaps but it doesn’t work in Enlisted.

Many aircrafts can outturn you when they deploy their flaps not to mention even BF can but there you must be careful and not use your flaps for too long same way with the Spitfire now you must be careful not to brake your wings so yeah AP-4C flaps are not special since they dont have airbrake like they are supposed to have similar mechanic when deployed.
As much as I would like to see BR adjustments to MANY planes, I think this one is a little too strong for the current BR4 lineup. I would love to see the F4U-4 series planes in BR5, and maybe once that happens and other planes shift around this one could work in BR4.
As do the players in the BF 109 they are apparently winning dogfights against… that is such an exaggeration.
In fact i’m willing to out this to the rest with my mediocre flight skills… 107 e7 vs Corsair… sure the weaponry is better but flight characteristics DEFINITELY not.
I guess it depends on what you can consider a dogfight. If it’s any engagement plane to plane I can see the 20mms doing good work when dropping down on people but in an actual fight instead of an ambush I don’t see the Corsair doing great.
a dogfight id consider a turn fight… what i say when im willing to challenge someone is this… head on and then turning into your maneuver
Yes though… the weaponry more than makes up for whatever downfall it may have.
As much as i would like to vote yes, it has to be a no for now. There are too many planes that need a br change. I’d say almost half the planes in the game need br adjustments or payload changes.
Never should’ve been moved to BR5 in the first place, especially since BR4 America is already the worst lineup in the game

Japan BR4 is playable, not really good but playable
So is US BR4. It’s not great, no BR4 is when looking at what it has to face but that’s an entirely different discussion, but playable.
Japan BR4 is definitely more playable than BR4 US
You have got to be kidding yourself.
Vehicles and weapons are all superior… the only thing japan has going for them is their players who are dedicated to larping as a morally bankrupt axis nation… and the fact it’s overall the hardest to succeed in which requires proper skill and attracted skilled players.

It is special enough in performance wise since AP-4C doesn’t even display the flaps durability warning even when you start sharp turning over 600 TAS with flaps fully deployed to landing, there are only a few aircrafts are capable of this IIRC.
USA does have a better BR 4 stuff than Japan BR 4 if we take account premium stuff as well.
