I understand why the ap-1 is in tier 3 but it should be 2 based on the fact the pilot has no guns and only 1 drop. 2 tail gunners is nice and all but lets be real, how reliable are tail gunners actually?
They’re currently bugged (not working) on some planes, lmao.

The ap 1 does have pilot controlled 50 cals doesnt it? 2 of them
I reckon it should stay br 3 BUT get its 4x bomb payload or 2 drops PLUS its proper bomb sights

BTW I hate the AP-1.
Slow and heavy like a bus.
Having just 1 bombdrop is not enough for this thing.
By the time you get new bombs, the battle will be over or you will be shot down.
So changing from BR3 to BR2 seems ok to me.
But also there it will be killed.

I did some useless testing just for passing my time.
Measured time on map Munda Point: Airfield, max crew, take off from carrier, time starts when throttle is applied, 110 power all the way, drop bombs on first point, then fly to ammo point.
AP-1, max upgraded (5/5 gold order), listed top speed 446, measured time 2m 22s
AP-1, not upgraded (3/6), listed top speed 457, measured time 2m 30s
SBD-3, max upgraded (5/5), listed top speed 398, measured time 2m 13s
Fun fact 1: max upgraded gold order AP-1 is listed with a lower top speed than the unupgraded AP-1, but is actually faster.
Fun fact 2: max upgraded SBD-3 is listed with the lowest top speed of the three, but is actually the fastest.
