Just today, shot p51 and p38 with about 12 shots, didn’t even scratch the p38 and all the p51 did was smoke a little.
I think they patched it recently when we weren’t looking… Yay?

Pretty sure most, if not, all AA guns are broken at the moment, and it’s been like this for months now. And it applies to all campaigns, not only in Normandy sadly.

Ah, the Pacific was what I was playing as of recent. The AA works there.

This would be on your aim, I’ve been using built AA just fine to great results

In Pacific you have AA truck/tank that are really good against planes. In Normandy you can only use fixed AA which is… underwhelming to say the least.

No - played a Normandy game as allies on the weekends and 1 axis guy just built AA - shot down at least 11 planes - including me 3 times!( I only looked near end of match)
I bombed/rocketed his guns about 5 times!!
Learn-to-aim issue prolly.

I never used AA gun myself, if I want to deal with planes I would use a plane myself (if I have one lol).
But honestly, I played a lot of Normandy allies, and I rarely ever see axis player build AA gun, and seeing them destroying P-47/38 with them is even rarer.
Sometimes someone build an AA gun while I am using said planes, and most of the time , when they hit me, my plane just does not care.

See, because axis build the aa gun once, realize that it just paints a HVAR sized target on them, then go jump in a BF 109.
They definitely work. Most AA gunners are just bad, burn through the ammo/overheat the gun before the plane is even in effective range, giving away their position too
