Anybody interested in organising a tournament?

Here’s the format I’m thinking:

Date and time to be confirmed.
Rules TBC.
Ironman? TBC (Think this would be interesting, and massively change how people play. Especially for final round. Could make it best of 3 for last round too if that’s the case.)

From the outset, everybody picks allied or axis and sticks with it for the remainder of the tournament.

We have x number of matches until everybody has played once, then top 4 from each team, each match go to next round. We have so many rounds so the last match there are 12 players each side for the last match.

Questions:

  • What campaigns?
  • Any disallowed weapons or vehicles?
  • Any others you can think of?

A tournament: who can spam explosives the hardest and abuse clueless AI the most?

Maps are not balanced for truly competitive teams. You will need some moded ones or play each map two times which could lead to ties or weird rules. Moded maps would also have issues as players could not be familiar with team.

Team are hard to assebmle, like you only had one rule and it already screws it up - pick allies or axis. Not everyone has everything maxed. If we allow everything late campaigns have major advantages. If You come up with another balancing rule it just makes it harded to find people who can play.

Last but not least, why?
No rewards - no turnover. Not even a spectator mode in game for some streamer to think about hosting it.
Game is not even out yet, we don’t even know when merge will come out.

I would rather just play some Vs matches with decent teams, but with how game is right now, that kind of matches turn into explosive spam really quick

Because in this game, you kill bots. It’s just not a competition because it would be freaking embarrassing.
And Enlisted gunplay is too awful to make it a competitive non-bot game.

Why would 50 people gather at set time just to play?

When they can play anytime they want, in less cancer enviroment

Let me spell it out: what the incentive for players? Last tournament had some rewards yet only 4 teams played

It’s not random 50 people for your kindergarden gathering to play with you smartass.

You want tournament, so best players compete. Why would any of them take time of specific day just to play for nothing, when they can do it anytime.

If You have no rewards just call it custom games for bragging rights to no one.
Tournaments are competitions, what would those players be competing for?

If this was implemented, I just see all the bad things from COD warzone (racism, streamers, sweaty players, hacking, ect ect) being added, which I would like to avoid.

I join custom match randomly and, let say is everthing but balanced lmao

nope played one game a sgt the lost 4 sqauds in secs to rank like march maj gen never again its already one side toward USA so played soviets I have rifles they have mg lmg moratar rockets Typically I left after 5 mins
time unless u pay its a complete waste of time this

Well it’s going to be self regulated, so if you’re an ass then you just won’t get the password for the next match. Simple really.
