Finally close to getting Panther in Normandy campaign. But I’ve never really used heavy tanks before, mainly rolled with IV H, so I was just wondering if there’s any tricks or just overall tips when it comes to Panther gameplay?
- Find a nice hill
- point and shoot
Control your sides, unlike the tiger, the panther has only 40mm of side armor, which makes it very vulnerable to any projectiles and especially PIAT.
avoid camping in the open, you will be the focus of the enemy team and all the planes will attack you, especially the P38J-15 with its 114mm rocket…
Everyone who has experienced driving the Panther and even the T-72 in War Thunder know how deadly the 4km/h reverse speed is. I have a fully upgrade Panther and Tiger in Normandy btw.
Keep everyone in front of you. Your sides exposed lead to being 1 shotted. Panther is probably the best tank in Normandy. I haven’t used the Tiger enough to compare but it was lackluster in Berlin
should I try to angle it, or always keep it straight to the enemy?
Kind of off topic but whatever.
Have the high ground and look out for 76mms and P-47s.
I see learned you have young padawan
Well. They tried it despite my warning.
