It would be nice to equip your BF 109 with the 30mm in the nose and two 20mm on the wings. That, and being able to put bombs on the K4 or other planes that had the option.

I definitely wouldn’t expect any more info at least until merge happens.

Whatever happens, at least give all fighters the option to equip some ground attack weapons.
Otherwise several fighters are almost useless and never used, such a shame.

Or ammo belts.
Noticed the German Bf-110 with a 37mm cannon is great for strafing since there is an explosive radius with the canon shells so doesn’t need direct hits.
The premium 40mm Hurricane and 45mm Yak9K (apparently) don’t have this which is a shame and makes them pretty much useless like you said.

Up until recently, a lot of aircraft cannons just couldn’t damage tanks either, rendering most useless. Nowadays you can pen some stuff, but it feels luck based more than anything.

iirc the current ammo belt for the 1 plan is APCR and HE, not pure one or the other…too bad gaijin models all APCR as russian APCR

I don’t even try to shoot tanks tbh. Exceptions are the US .50 cal truck because it’s essentially a soft target.
Anything else I just bomb.
It got updated, the sheet guy updated too now so have a look. Both have AP-T only now 
Ive had some luck with only gun kills
vs Sherman engine deck top down - sometimes starts a turbofire
vs T-34 - back of the turret at a dive and engine deck is weak to top down
vs P3/P4 - mostly top down, some turret spots, engine deck, sometimes you can go through random angles
M2 .50 or Vya23 can actually hurt big cats too
Puma, panzerwerfer are a cardboard box and often you can just shred them with 50s
