I just want to suggest that the bazzoka should be buffed. In real life the bazzoka could penetrate around 130mm of flat armor so why is that I can barley pen the side of a panzer 4? The panzer faust while way more powerfull can pen up to 200mm but in game it sometimes struggles on Sherman’s I don’t know why that is. As well can we have some mercy on the anti tanks guns please just give them at least 5 degrees of depression.
I haven’t had a problem making some pretty questionable shots with the bazooka.
After having played both the USA & GER a while in the Normandy test, I feel like it’s a lot harder to score reliable hits with the Panzerfaust than it is with the Bazooka. It obviously has to do with the curving of the travelling warhead, and while the Panzerfaust does absolutely have a stealth advantage (with a lot less smoke being produced as opposed to a firing Bazooka), it does feel rather tough.
Panzershrecks saw limited use in Normandy, but the PPK-41 (Korovin 1941) only saw a handful of models ever being made. I don’t see why we shouldn’t equalize AT capabilities and have both sides suffer the same drawbacks (smoke, dust & sound generation) of firing an anti-tank weapon. However, I do understand and acknowledge that they’re aiming at asymmetrical balance in this game, and that the appearance of the Panzershreck might mess up the flow of some battles.
As for penetration on both; I haven’t had any problems with them either. I’ve scored near-full tank kills from angles that should laugh away those kinds of hits. If anything the tanks may need a slight buff in this case.
Bazooka penetration in ideal circumstances had little to do with performance in combat - remember oin Korea the original Bazooka bounced of 45mm armour of T34’s. Even in 1944 ther were many reports of poor performance - hence the US started looking at the Panzershrek and ultimately came up with the M20
As far as I know the original Bazooka rocket was never itself actually improved - so yeah, it’s not actually all it was cracked up to be.
Still better than AT rifles tho!
well t34s have sloped armor which shaped charges like this dont like too much but I am bouncing on the side of a panzer 4 which is flat and has less then 50mm of armor
yall be using the bazooka wrong try it on infantry and u see that its op as hell
All armour is sloped unless you hit it at precisely 90 degrees to the surface.
The corollary is that sloped armour is not sloped if you hit it at precisely 90 degrees to the surface.
