A premium dog squad might be cool! lol … weird WWII history
Early in World War II, the Soviets invested in a novel, albeit inhumane weapon: trained dogs operating as suicide bombers.
The Soviet dogs were trained to target German tanks. They were equipped with backpacks carrying several pounds of explosives. A lever protruded upward from the backpack. When the dog slipped beneath the hull of a tank, the level was depressed, triggering the explosives.
As many as 40,000 Soviet anti-tank dogs were trained to make the ultimate sacrifice, but few reached their targets. The Germans simply shot any dogs spotted on the battlefield, neutralizing the threat.

I think political prisoner and criminal brigades would be more practical. The Germans and Russians both did that. Like a penal brigade with only explosives, BR1 or pistols. Shtrafbats (500k) and Strafbataillon. The German ones being especially vicious. Clearly the game has some Waffen SS squads so why not a few cannon fodder squads.
The dog thing is not a bad idea because its a dog to tank math formula. How many dogs is a tank worth? Russians say 300 tanks History says 50-100 lets say 150 for fun. 40k dogs trained a few 1000 died in combat so 10-15 dogs per tank and 85 living dogs per tank. Its 133 dogs per tank. They cost about a 1$ a month to feed. Cost of a dog in WW2 “Not much” the cost of a tank.
Average Tank Range: $32,000 to $128,000 (80,000 to 320,000 RM)
Dogs were a cost effective option just not an effective combat option. 40k dogs 1$ x month also double as a food source, winter clothing when the Russian winter sets in try to warm yourself wrapped in a tank versus a silky smooth pair of Belgium shepard gloves. 480k annual feeding budget versus 150 tanks at 65k each. Lets not mention those puppy dog eyes act as distraction when they run under the tank.
The look on my face when I know the match is lost 2 minutes after it starts because of my team.

I am talking about the people outside our group. Its so annoying that 3 of us can play and the rest of the team puts in a penal brigade effort.
