It’s certainly annoying, especially since many people don’t have the brilliant idea to place their own mine on top of their rally point; this leaves the enemy free to pull off the game’s most classic troll move: placing an enemy AP mine right on the rally.
You are missing the point. I’m talking about basic realism here.
The majority of the anti personnel mines in game are not anchored in the ground therefore there is nothing stopping a person from placing them on non diggable terrain. The fact that they sink into it is not what this suggestion aims to combat.
