on the Russian front Germans would cover windows with nets to block grenades. I think that a building options for engineers to cover windows with a net instead of a sandbag would help solve the problem of needing cover from grenades and still be able to shoot out.

I mean its a neat idea, however I would rather they just double the number of sandbags you could build instead since that would also fix the issue.
