Another research squads system is absolutely needed, or this game will collapse

Ok cool, with the new update we have a lot of stuff incoming including the tiger, all fun and games… well not exactly.

How long this upgrade system can keep it up? Tiger tank for example is placed at liv 31, and this tank isn’t that much better than a t34-85, so even if we manage after a lot of sweat to reach the level it would be only for the sake of having it. In fact this game’s progression system doesn’t rely on your skills but on how much time you spend in it, which can become very frustrating and little challenging. The player only for one wanted item has to unlock ALL previous squads, maybe without caring at all of the others.

Also the current levelling system is very styfling also for the devs: they have to increase the levels of both faction simultaneously, in some cases forcing them to add weapons or gear of questionable historical accuracy (m2 carbines, stgs in Moscow etc), and the longer it goes on the worst it will be. Not to mention that this levelling system forces them (?)to not make changes by switching some squad level’s position if unbalanced or stuff like this.

Let’s go straight to the point: the system I am proponing, is based on squad’s specialities, and would solve a lot of these continuity and grinding problems.

Here is a small example:

Basically, the branches are “xp” indipendent and based on the xp you get per squad, which means that you can max the sniper branch and get their best weapons without grinding also on the bomber sides, letting him free to focus on his favorite type of squad. Not only that would make the grind less excruciating, but would also help new players to get good gear sooner and don’t face terminator enemies using basic weapons. Also it would solve the adding levels symmetrically and ambiguous weapons to every faction problem, and it would be less difficult for devs to manage it, considering also that branches can be switched to places with ease as it happens with WT.

I agree that there’s a need for research system rework. This is good. +1
especially, I like this one that u/GregTheIntelectual made in reddit.

But one thing for sure. There’s a need for limitation too. Just like WT where you need to unlock a certain number of tier 2 to proceed to tier 3 etc.

If there’s no limitation and player can just grind out assaulter for example. In weeks there would be a lot of MP43 running around. (which personally I don’t want to :v )

Agree, I didn’t think of that

Aren‘t all games like that… you have to spend time. They want you to play. And this is the best way, to keep you play. And 2. you should not forget, that the game is published by Gajin, witch made War Thunder, where the same system is in. This game worked like this. The you’ll way to make it easier to griend faster is premium. That‘s the point of Gajin

How do you mean

But with that system, you have to make a complete new game. And it’s weird, because when you don‘t have to forces in your inventory, you can‘t play the match

It would be even more complicated in my opinion, as @124675140 said you would basically need to make a new game

But that way you wouldn’t have to grind past things you will probably never use so given this game is based around grinding everything slower and slower you can expect rifleman IV - X in no time.

Yes, but it‘s wanted from the devs, that you have to invest time or money in the game

Sure but for different reason. Production capacity couldn’t cope with demand. Once you unlock G43, FG42 or MP43 will you go back to k98? Or once you have Panther would you return to PzIVJ? I have PzIV H so far and I feel no need to drive anything that I unlocked before it.

The forum makes reading post on Android horrible, can’t read this to comment.
