How about we have a system that put living players who doesn’t know each other in a squad. work like the waiting hall for custom games. people can post their squad invitation publicly in such a hall and add information like “berlin grinder” wait for other to join
because people barley work on the same team, wishing they can form a squad without being able to talk is like praying for rain in the desert. Second wait times would be through the roof to get enough squads to form a game, and who wants a random squad.

You would be waiting sometimes for hours in a queue, such encapsulation in player selection would be suicide for the game.
The system I mean is not necessary in the process of finding game. Like you dont have to start a game with full squad. And people can choose to start the game individually. Like payday2 game starts. You can wait in the hall and you can also just start the game. You can also choose to not publish the invitation in the team finding hall. Which would just like the old game

Kinda hard to explain. I’m a Playstation dude myself. Basically you make a public post for a game, and everyone playing that game gets a notification that X player is looking for others to play Y game with, and anyone who wants to, responds and X can invite them to their party
