Alecto I is a event reward on last year, compare to it’s countpart Sturmpanzer II, It was neglected due to its poor HE effectiveness.
As a 95 mm infantry support gun, it curently have same tnt filling as US 75mm gun, while firing significantly slower.
This data is clearly questionable. A 11.3kg HE shell with only 666g of filling? that’s the lowest weight/ filling ratio at the game!
Unfortunately, this enigmatic weapon never saw actual combat despite being mounted on multiple tanks, making information on it exceedingly rare. Nevertheless, a few subtle clues can still be found.
This website claim that it have ≈1.701Kg explosive
While searching for information about Ordnance QF 95, one document was repeatedly mentioned – “PRO document WO 291/955”. Although I couldn’t access it, I found a photograph of a fragment of it.
This table claim that it have 3.1lb ≈ 1.4Kg explosive. And the filling ratio is also reasonable as a infantry support weapon.
I hope the dev can do some reaserch about this shell, making this vehicle worth playing.
