In my opinion, the player on the jumbo in the beginning just left the tank and you did not kill anyone when you blew up the tank. He just gave up.
You shot at the abandoned tank and it automatically exploded.
I wonder how the “jumbo easily kills in machine gun” adepts will explain the 10 or so shots on the green marker that were not penetrations.

Green mark is a noob mechanic, it tells you where you can shoot not where the projectile is gonna land precisely.
In fact I want an option to remove it, it only confuse me and block my visual on the actual sight.

Green markers also means the shell can go through but doesn’t mean it will deal damage, most western allied players probably learnt that the hard way because AP is shit

To be fair this is an extreme case and as quickly as Jumbo starts angleing he is dead (you can frontally ammo rack him, in-between the tracks). But face to face it can become really silly.
Where would you have shoot to kill him?

When facing like that between turret and main hull/turret ring. It’s still hard one but does the job for me like 80% of effectiveness. Kills commander, gunner and loader.
