Some sort of radio jammer on the enemy team they set up anywhere around the objective unless it’s destroyed it will deny 100 metres around the objective in artillery or radio commands except for For a bombing raid And it does not have to be exclusively set up on the objective you can set it on the enemy’s front lines to deny them that as well calling artillery and smoke And anyone’s free to expand upon this

And technically you can set it up all over the map to deny radio officers from using their equipment by just locking down the whole map with it unless they’re destroyed

Theres that rather big red circle in minimap where the artillery appears so I honestly dont think we need any “counter” to artillery

It’s for fortifying in objective or sections of the map to not be artillery spammed

and If you wanna do that type of stuff do that with a plane or Mortar squad

I’m sorry but the jamming idea as you suggest it sounds hilariously illogical and… Uh… Doesn’t make any sense?
I get what you want to do, but making a “area that enemy can’t Bombard” using signal jamming is… It doesn’t make sense.

That said, a method to deny enemy artillery does sounds neat. What about using your own team radio to call in anti artillery strike thing? That sounds as dumb as signal jamming, since it would probably end with very few if any artillery strikes being done.

… Wait, it would be great if you can only stop the normal artillery while smoke screen barrage is unstoppable.

That would be a nice incentive to use the smoke one.

Edit: basically I’m saying we could have a radio squad cancel out enemy artillery barrage.

Rather than Radio operators countering other radio operators, have locations that the artillery is fired from that can be taken out by aircraft. Not only will it work to delay the enemy’s ability to call for artillery but it keeps players actively engaged, instead of things you just “call in”.

Watch as the dev make the artillery spawn moments before firing making it near impossible for it to be canceled like paratroopers dropping.

Most of my kills from Radio operator squads comes from normal skirmish and rally building not even radio. Artillery calls are gambles and dont bring too much xp to begin with.
I also dont understand why people obsessed with them like they are 4 federov carrying soviet madlad squad.
Real gamebreaking f…d up thing is endless smg spams but nobody talks about them.
Radio have been nerfed to oblivion already.

Allow it to still be called in but decrease the accuracy for each one built, allow radio teams to build radar of their own increasing accuracy of strikes and providing a detection bonus to allied aircraft in spotting enemy air, that can be the unique radio buildable and only 1 per player
