HE 115 C-1

DESCRIPTION
He 115 is a German floatplane developed by Heinkel between 1935 and 1938 to replace the outdated He 59 biplane float bomber. It was mass-produced at the Heinkel Rostock plant from December 1938 to July 1940. During this time, a total of 223 He 115 aircraft of all variants were built. The aircraft was actively used by German coastal aviation from 1939 as a reconnaissance aircraft, bomber, torpedo bomber, and mine layer. However, by the summer of 1940, the already outdated He 115, having a rather low speed, could no longer safely perform most of its missions. For this reason, its production ceased in 1940, and the aircraft already in service were primarily used in Norway to search for Arctic convoys.

The C modification became the final serial version of the He 115. The He 115 C-1 received improved defensive turret armament, and a fixed forward-firing 15-mm MG 151 cannon was added to the nose. In addition, an auxiliary fuel tank could be installed in the bomb bay. A total of 67 He 115 aircraft of all C modification variants were produced.

There is no naval warfare in this game, why add a big seaplane?
And as a seaplane, it should take off from the water (just like the ones in the pacific); is this even possible in the low BR maps (or any BR, for that matter)? Perhaps from a river or lake…
There are so many normal bombers to be added, I’ll be happy with just a ‘simple’ He-111 or Ju-88.

Well, it can spawn in the air, like any seaplanes, if there is no aircraft carrier on the map. And yes, adding HE111 and JU88 is possible in principle, but we are talking about HE 115 C-1 here.

Nobody wants to fly a big heavy German seaplane over Tunisia, Moscow, Stalingrad…nothing could be more out of place, sorry

It handles normally as a bomber-seaplane, and it won’t be able to fly at high altitudes, will it? 2 at most, and 3 is unlikely.
