An ideal way to add Finnish tech tree in game

During WW2, Finland fought against Soviet during the Winter War(1939-1940), Continuation War(1941-1944) , and fought Germany during the Lapland War(1944).Which means it could be added as a independent faction instead of being a German sub faction.

Since most of Finnish weapons and vehicles are already discussed, I will explain how would Finnish faction work in the game. This is my first time to write a such huge topic like this, so the quality might be low. Thank you for your understanding.

Start with their tech tree, even though Finland have good Br5 infantry weapons such as KP31 , AVS-36, and Fedorov Avtomat, they can only join battles between Br1 to Br4 because they don’t have any Br5 vehicles. In this case, German and Soviet Br4 would be more enjoyable to play.

Guerrilla: Suomi KP/31 Tanker(40 round drum)
This type of Soumi was mounted on their armored vehicles, the shroud for the tank version could be quickly removed from the tank and fitted with a standard barrel shroud which is putted in the vehicle. The barrel length is still as same as a normal Suomi, so the damage is higher(6.6) than the PPSh-41 “Obrez”(5.6). But with higher vertical recoil(40-50) could make it a Br 2 weapon.

The 40 round magazine(left)for the this gun is very similar to the 71 round magazine.

Assaulter II: Suomi KP-26

AT gunner II: Panssarinyrkki F1
Panzerfaust Klein used by Finnish troops, it could penetrate 140mm which is the only advantage.
Here are the reasons that I put it in Br2.

  1. The effect range is only 30m, if the target is over 30m, it’s harder to kill the crew members(hit marker only).

  2. Smaller warhead diameter(100mm) compare to the Panzerfaust 60&100(149mm).

  3. Less warhead explosives(400g)compare to the Panzerfaust 60&100(800g).

  4. The sight is very simple, only better than the Type 5 Recoilless Rifle.

With these disadvantages, unless you shoot at close range, mostly you could only injured the crew members or damaged the ammo rack.
