I think it will be similar to Normandy. The mg34 Axis has 75 rounds. The Soviets do not have Browning, but Maxim-Tokarev with ± the same characteristics as Browning.

But most likely it will not be 37, since the Soviets now get dt 29 for 35 lvl.

The soviet mg seems cool.
Don’t want another mg34 though. Mg15 when?
If we assume that the campaign ends on level 40 for good, why would the soviets get another machine gun if they already got a very endgame machine gun at the 35 lvl last BP ? Isn’t there more worth things to add than another gun to a weapon class it isn’t lacking ?
If we get another Mg, it’s either gonna be a mg 42 or a mg 34 with 75 rounds, off which is meh
Unfortunately.
Though, honestly, rather than another mg (other than mg15, that one would be cool), I’d rather mabe see a suomi. This mg vs suomi seems fair enough.
Tbh I’d want to not add any new SMG. There is a shit ton of SMGs in the game already, no other weapon is as numerous in terms of models.
I’m really tired of the mickey mouse mg34… it’s not even that better. It got 25 more bullets sure, but half the screen is blinded behind the magazine. I see that thing as a sidegrade, nothing more. If they add the maxim lmg in Moscow, it will just be another nail on the axis team, dt29 already being better than the mg34 in my opinion: it has no recoil when aiming with a one quick mouse click…
Maxim or rpd will appear in Berlin for sure anyway. But at least there, axis might have some belt fed mg42 to compensate
It wouldn’t help anything. You also know that the mg42 is pretty much a “one still fits in the squad” weapon. But at that time I had not yet added the ridiculous recoil in Stalingrad. Which can appear in other campaigns as well. The appearance of the RPD would scare away the already inadequate axis player that is still there. This will permanently bury the campaign. Although after fedorov, I don’t think the developers have any plans or intentions to save the campaign.
The devs are either Soviet biased or they cater top much to the Soviet playerbase if the Russians are all whales
It’s subjective.
Balance of sides is very good.
Lovers of Axis rather are a whales, because this premium squads for axis some time better then in progression.
And not all Russian play for Soviets, like not all Germany play for axis and etc.
Mg 34 with 75 rounds are very good.
But mg42 with 75 can be better.
Probably Mkb / AVT and a T-34 and either a StuG or a “better” Panzer III.
There it no 75 round mag/belt for MG42. Only belts made by combining 50 round belts (so 50, 100, 150, 200…).
So I guess we will get (sooner or later) a MG42 with 100 round ammo belt to match M1919A6 and that’s it, no further changes.
Ehh… currently LMG (especially versions with more ammo) are very soulless. It’s a wasted potntial and I doubt it will change.
On that i agree, axis premium squads are generally superior when compared to Soviet premium squads but the devs are indeed Soviet biased because only the Soviets get ACTUAL new equipment while axis get in the late levels just copy paste content that is identical to what we already have and I’d say it’s even a miracle that we’ve got the kiraly 39 smg instead of a AT rifle grenade launcher…
T-34 obr 1941 in Moscow would be great despite it will be another Tiger vs Stuart from Normandy like situation. I just want a T-34 so I could get rid of the bigass T-28 already.
Well, smgs are also one of the most important weapons in Enlisted. They as well as SF rifles basically decide a faction’s strenght. And imo, they’re also the msot interesting weapon class.
And currently, the axis smgs for moscow are a bit lackluster. And they’re not getting an SF rifle. So I feel like a little cherry on top for the players who managed to grind all the way to the end of the campaign would be nice.
And the suomi is historically accurate, iconic, powerful… I don’t see a reason not to add it.
Except this time the stuart is a top tier tank.
T34 can’t be added witohut completely breaking faction balance. Definitely not a 1941 model.
In order to add it in, (basically) the entirety of the axis tank unlocks would need a redesign. That means basically completely getting rid of the 37mm Panzer 3s, giving the panzer 4s HEAT, adding a Stug, a panzer 3J1, and maybe giving the axis a Panzer 3 L/M to counter T34.
And tbh, I’m not too sure it would be a good idea just so we can make Moscow and Stalingrad even more similar.
MG42 not time accurate
I have to agree.
Imo they are the most boring weapon class as they are the most generic one. Every game has SMGs/ARs and 99% of thiose games focuses on them.
Here’s my take:
All smgs act and play differently. Their rof, accuracy, recoil, sights, all of that makes each of them unique.
While all the other weapon classes feel very samey. Like, other than sights, you basically have either straight up worse or better. And they all play the same.
While vehicles are imo already done better in warthunder.
So you’re left with SMGs, LMGs and SFs as the only weapon classes with any real diversity within their class.
