Ammo/nade pouches

so base ammo capacity f.ex. MP40 is 4 mags
Do you really think DF, i’m gonna take any ammo pouch instead large nade pouch?
I’m running my SMG/MGs squad with nade pouches only as i hardly ever die before i run out of ammo.
The best way to balance things is to give valuable competition, here it’s not the case, at least for me, what do you think

If you’d make ammo pouches more neccesery (for fast ROF) maybe we wouldn’t see so much of nade spam, assaulters and mgs would need ammo much more than nades, and nades would be carried by your rifleman troops then, which would make more sense, better gameplay and so on.

I just don’t see a reason to have ammo pouches on ANY of my squads really.

Large ammo give you 4 mag

i know i just edited it, no matter the count, the base ammo is too much i think
i hardly ever run out of ammo without ammo pouches
maybe it’s gameplay differences but i’d doubt it tho.

It honestly sounds like you’re aren’t killing much. Work on your aim if you always find yourself dying fast, otherwise :man_shrugging:t3: you issue. Love the ammo pouches

first of all duck off with this passive-agressive statement, this game is literally a meatgrinder, i die a lot because i push a lot, wouldn’t say i die for nothing tho but i usually die before i run out of ammo, because of that I’d rather have nade pouches so I could throw in, then throw myself and repeat.

It may be gameplay style differences. I’m just suggesting this looking for more players who would have similar thoughts, not my skills to be judged.

I still run out of ammo even when pushing, large ammo might be of no importance to you but it’s very important to me

Yeah dawg, you run in pop all 3 grenades, die, repeat, no shit you’re dying fast. You’re right difference in game play, try other ways and you’ll see that ammo pouches need no buff or change otherwise :-1:t3:

Lisqs, I for one see the point you are trying to make. However, the ammo situation is rather odd due to the different amounts of ammo that each weapon goes through.

  • MGs have between 2 and 4 mags standard, some have a lot per mag, others don’t.
  • SMGs have like 4 mags
  • Rifles have anywhere from 3-5 mags
  • and so on.

The thing is, most of these you don’t have a chance to go through that much ammo (in my experience), with the exception of MAYBE MGs or snipers IF your team is putting up ammo boxes to top off with. If its a long distance between ammo resupplies, then the ammo pouches CAN BE clutch.

I know everyone probably guessed this was coming, but another reason that grenades are taken over ammo is because ammo is not expended at a high enough rate to warrant them. Meanwhile grenade spam is far too effective due to lack of fortifications. So until we have a way to more effectively fortify an area where grenades are NOT the best available option, people will continue to take grenade pouches.

In addition, mine pouches should be introduced to the game. They are the closest thing in value to grenades, though they only really work defensively. Adding these will give players a reason to get away from just using grenade pouches.

exactly my point, you don’t have a chance to go through that much ammo unless you’re playing outside of objective, because no matter how good aim you have, or positioning, or whatever, you’re gonna get down because enemy is at every corner (pretty impossible to counter everyone, let alone explosions and stuff). but as far as i can see others don’t seem to like it. especially devs because they recently raised the base ammo count.

or maybe include your idea about ammo box being same like medbox, that would make ammo pouches even more desireable i think.
