Seriously wtf yo? I’d much rather have my assaulters running semi auto Carbines rather than the short range highly inaccurate POS grease gun. And while we’re talking about that, why the grease gun?!? It was more common for tank crews and vehicle crews. We all know the Thompson was the Daddy of all SMGs for US forces during WWII. Where the F$%^ is my MF Thompson at?!?

They are labelled as ‘assault’ but that’s to define them as Semi Auto rather than single shot.

i say it would because that the thompson was more expensive and rare on the battlefield, so you were more likely to find a grease gun than a thompson
I will say that I was also surprised to see that the M1 was no available for my assault troops… But it appears that in the interest of balancing the factions and classes against one another that they wanted each class to have it’s own iconic weapon.
So engineers, flamers and bombers got the M1 while assaulters got the SMG’s … I’m guessing when Normandy goes live that they will replace the Sten with the Thompson …
Bren will probably be replaced by the M1919 lmg …
Again this is just speculation on my part

the basic trooper can have m1 carbines as well, i know this because i have squads full of either m1 carbines w/wo the grenade launchers or m1 garands
they would likely have both
Piat will likely stay in the game since they could add more levels with the m1 bazooka being a latter level same with panzerfaust/panzerschrek
Then the order needs to be reversed. The Bazooka came before the PIAT.

Yeah, you can snip with a bazooka, as it has a flat trajectory, whereas PIAT is more akin to a mortar.
yep though the bazooka still has a slow velocity compared to other weapons
Unless they add British to normandy, which as far as I know, they don’t plan on, then these will be removed and replaced with American weapons.
As far as I know, these are being tested for Tunisia and will be replaced once that campaign launches
oh yeah that is what i heard too, and it would be cool for them to add british troops at normandy because they were there too. but i feel like what i said is what i see them doing because more content aka grind
It would be cool to see, but the game focuses mainly on the American landings and combat zones, rather that the British.
But we shall see, they might add more levels to the campaigns and add some exotic units, like the British :).
