I feel the LVT 4 transport should be faster. It is painfully painfully slow. I go into battle and I get passed by most tanks. I paid $25.00 for the transport. Please make it a bit faster. Thank You!

I’m not sure, but, if not, I know they could carry a jeep, at least it should have that capability.

This game inherited war thunder’s terrible terrain traverse physics.
Most of the APCs in this game were more mobile in real life when it comes to going through obstacles and up hills.
The LVT suffers the worst from this.
In reality it should excel at trench crossing and difficult terrain.
In game it’s easily stuck in a ditch.

The LVT is indeed very slow. Probably the slowest premium APC in the game. However, it is the only APC where I’ve successfully being able to cross over trenches on my first try. It can also climb very pronounced slopes and hills, albeit very slow. The best gimmick is the fact that you can park on water. I bought it for that sole reason, to make Pacific maps more “enjoyable” to play, as I get them in my map rotation quite a lot for my BR III Allies lineup.
When I need a fast flanking APC, I use the Universal Carrier instead. That one is quite speedy.

Yes it’s super slow.
Especially in the water.
Running soldiers are faster.
However, I checked the speed in the water, it’s actually accurate.
It has no propeller or anything, just uses the tracks to move in the water.
Officially: 20 mph (32 km/h) on land, 7.5 mph (12.1 km/h) in water
It even goes too fast: 40 km/h

However, the necessary procedures still need to be carried out.
Its probably more that they nerfed traction in warthunder years ago to stop people getting into really high areas of the map. It used to be quite good

Indeed as it was used for the Pacifkc campaign, it does well there…not to forget the FIVE very powerful MGs that the crew uses when driving.
