It is unreasonable that commanders of high-tier Soviet and American tanks cannot use binoculars. Their vehicles already struggle to fight the Tiger II head-on, and the commanders being unable to use binoculars further creates a much larger disparity in tank detection efficiency and reaction speed. I understand this mechanic was designed to balance the heavy machine guns’ lethality against infantry, yet heavy machine guns have been drastically nerfed in the game. It takes at least two to three rounds to eliminate one infantry unit, and 12.7mm rounds deal no damage whatsoever to light armor and armored personnel carriers, putting heavy machine guns on par with general-purpose machine guns. The high rate of fire of MG series weapons grants them an unmatched advantage. On top of that, German tank commanders still have access to binoculars, which makes this mechanic utterly unfair.
- Allow tank commanders of high-tier Soviet and American tanks to use binoculars.
- Increase the damage of heavy machine guns, but disable heavy machine gun usage while binoculars are active.
- Keep as is.
