So I was thinking. Instead of splitting up the playerbase, why not integrate lone fighters into the main game in a way.
What if you could control squadmembers of other players if they’d have the option enabled? This would allow friends to join each other and stay/work together easier. This would especially be nice in tank combat with friends. Obviously you wouldn’t want any random to just join your squad so there’d need to be options you can set.
This would also obviously complicate things for your progession, for instance where would your xp be going to? Maybe you would get xp for your own squad of the same type. Or maybe you get flexible xp to spend (but less xp then of course). Or perhaps some other way.
Just being able to play in squads like in Battlefield would add so much to the game. Especially with friends. If this would be realized in whatever way, that’d be great.
I hope this gets taken into consideration.

I personally think this overcomplicates things. Just let people queue for both LF and Squad at the same time.
Good idea but it may be too complex. Instead, a match could include players with AI squads and players who are solo. The match could automatically place the solo players in their own squad similar to how squadrons are in War Thunder and denoted with a green marker instead of blue. Then the solo players could have the choice of going alone or sticking with their squad of other solo players.
I wouldn’t want anyone taking over members of my squad. Especially some random dude who might just take my last soldier and run him to some corner so I can’t respawn.

i would actually like this idea.
just like yesterday, after that i lost my tank crew members, i just picked up my friend and his squad mates, and we just started to rolling with the puma.
we were two absolute dorks in a puma screaming and laughing at each other by getting some nice kills overhall.
so, perhaps newer gamemodes where it requires cooperation withing friends that has VC ( for serious manner of course ) it would be really cool.
the problem with:
is that, weather you are in lone fight, you would have disavantages.
because even if you one of the best aim, players with bots will automatically “win” as they have more numbers, and more manpower.
but i suppose those parameters could be tweaked.
