Ally and bots being solid meatshield for enemy

There is something wack in this game, you can’t shoot through ally(bot, AI squadmate, another player) in normal mode and they will tank all the damage and stop explosive impact(this one will kill you), which only favor enemies

Just imagine you are going CQC in a hallway with teamates and AI following you behind, expecting enemy, you see a corner, you approach carefully and lean in the corner, you spot a group of enemy running toward you, and the moment you squeeze that juicy SMG trigger, your ally push you or run in front of you, blocking your view and soak half of your magazine, then you are dead by getting shot by the first enemy running toward you spamming his SMG at your direction and through your allies who are blocking your view even after they died…

For moment like this I appreciate friendly fire is on, at least my bullets will hit my enemy whenever my ally like it or not, but now? Hell no

My suggestion is, making Ally/Teammates not solid unless Friendly Fire is active, let bullets goes through them like bushes

The logic of the AI should avoid the direction the player is aiming, or at least avoid standing directly in front of the player.
This is the most basic AI feature, and many old games can do this
Especially when I build fortifications such as heavy machine guns, my AI or my teammates’ AI will stand in front of me. I can let them leave with my own AI, but what about my teammates’ AI? They have no idea that their AI blocked my gun, and I don’t know whose AI it is.

First off, I agree there is an issue for sure.

All too often I have either AI or a teammate with a sniper that will get in front of me or even LAY DOWN ON MY (H)MG NEST to intentionally block my shots!

friendly AI has a real knack for knowing EXACTLY when I’m going to fire my weapon, seems like.
Especially with BA’s, as soon as I click fire I have some braindead bot’s leg in my sights
