Let’s be real, barely anyone likes jets. It ruined br 5 even more, so, i thought about adding a button, similar to join any squad, where it say. “Play against jets” turned off, you won’t face against a SINGLE, jet. On you will. So what’s your guys, gal’s, sentient tanks, sentient planes, sentient objects, anime girls, and animals think?
I’m in favor of unbloating the TT. Don’t remove anything, just extend things out to BR VI and move jets and anything late 1944/1945 onward to it. This would solve so many problems. It would also give a reason to research BR V and do the “minimum required to advance a BR” like you have with 1-4. Right now it’s just a random useless UI element within the TT.
Some items are even to OP for BR V even though they were made sooner then the end of the war, this would be a good spot for those as well. On top of that it can make it so BR V isn’t playing with BR IV.
What does this accomplish?
Unbloated TT especially for Germany
Better match making until they can give us ±0 BR
Less frustration in high BR matches
Making the BR placement of some items easier when they sit between multiple BR
Every single atom in my body hates every, single, jet. But I know some like them, and O don’t want to take that away. Jist offer an option to not play against jets.
I’m not opposed to your idea, in fact I think it’s a great addition. I’m just not sure how willing the devs are going to be to add an additional toggle like the join any army feature. Some might argue that it would increase queue time, but no matter what we do cues are going to fluctuate either up or down, in most cases it’s going to take longer. So it’s a situation where you have to choose if it does take longer what’s the best thing to do that adds the most value to the game.
Both propositions could potentially suffer the same fate. All we can do is add alternatives to what’s already there and hope for the best.
It sounds harsh but if you dont like jets then dont play br 4-5. They have become a part of the game and the devs will not just remove them or add some special matchmaking rules. Otherwise we would get button to not play against select fire rifles, not play against heavy tanks, not play against body armour etc
Of course, my brother, the most unbalanced aspect is still the American and British jet bombers; other jet aircraft simply cannot compare to them in terms of bombing capabilities.
The only problematic jets are the allied ones, the others take some level of skill considering you get out turned easily but basically any prop fighter.
I think firstly they need to decompress BR5, ie take the top tier stuff like select fires, jets, and heavy tanks and push them into BR6 while keeping most of the less powerful (less problematic) toys in BR5.
At the same time I also think a score requirement for vehicles should be implemented to balance them out. Certain vehicles are either niche enough or bad enough that a score requirement is unnecessary, with better vehicles demanding more score to be used. It also helps balance out the Meteor and F-80, they’re objectively better than anything they go against but with a score requirement they’d be much harder to spawn in than their inferior counterparts.
People paid for premium jets and you want to punish them for supporting the game?
BR 6 is the only solution in my opinion. Put there jets, overpowered select fire rifles, fantasy tanks (like ho-ri) or overpowered tanks (like Jagdtiger), or the ones which didn’t manage to see the fight during the end of ww2 but were deployed or tested (like T44-100, IS3 etc.)
Introducing soviet-japanese 1945 front would be perfect opportunity to get br 6 also.
read the service agreement, its a SERVICE. You dont even own the premium squad, you just bought access to it.
They could pull the plug and you would be entitled to nothing.
I have suggested this as well. There are simply too many things that fall in between battle ratings and don’t see use because they don’t fit in the BR they are in, but also wouldn’t fit into other BRs as they currently exist.
I would rather say we should turn BR5 into prototype post war madness, while at the same time lowering (and possibly nerfing) some iconic WW2 gear to BR4.
Keep in mind that less BRs is better for the matchmaker - which is especially important when considering the future possibility of turning the MM into ±0BR.
