Last update gave us volksturm longcoats for berlin. I think these look really cool and similar coats should also appear in normandy since it is historically accurate

I believe summer combat uniforms are suitable for the summer battlefield. Wearing long and large coats for combat can easily lead to heatstroke

In the North African Campaign, wearing a coat is reasonable due to the large temperature difference between day and night. In other campaigns during summer, thin uniforms should be worn
Both types of uniforms would be used. Long overcoats were commonly seen during cold nights, heavy rain and guard duties + officers just like the current longcoat seen in tunisia. Most soldiers would still wear lighter clothes but giving alternative options has never been a bad thing

Historical photos show that the German soldiers on guard duty wore only a thin windproof overcoat, but the Berlin Volkssturm members in the game wore two layers of clothing, and the overcoat was also thick for warmth. Unless they only used a thin overcoat in the Normandy map, wearing too many layers doesn’t conform to historical reality.
