Sending all these level 1 guys away 1 at a time is awful. Let us select multiple people to send to the rear at one time.
you should be converting them to rank 2s instead, 2 minutes of time basically.
you need them all filled tho, that is harder then just having them all.
No reason for me to convert them to rank 2s when half of them are pilots or tankers. Also when I can get 2-5 soldiers a match I don’t want to spend every match training crappy rank 1s
You can still use them in the academy in lieu of the other roles. Remember you only need the Rank and the level to be the same, not the role.
The default retention of role is set for the first slot, so you can cram the other two slots with filler roles as long as you meet the Academy conditions and keep levelling up the roles you need
don’t need to convert them to L2’s when I’m also getting bucketloads of L2’s for the same troop type.
Main one for me is fighter pilots (soviet so far since htey have rubbish CAS capability) - they are so bloody difficult to level up that the whole of L1 is a total waste of time.
No that’s not true - I have tried using that for training up Type 2 Troopers (and Eng, and gunners, etc) - whether you get a Type 1 or 2 is independant of what is in the 1st slot - you can put troops in and out of hte accademy in all sorts of order and get different expected results - it shows you what the output will be.
So I just fiddle Type i’s and Type 2’s in the 3 positions until the output is a Type 2, then start training at that point.
I’ve not had any issues, and I’ve reliably received the role from the first slot. Mind you I have not tried diff tier troops, so Trooper II being leveled by a Trooper I with the appropriate Rank and Level conditions
But certainly for Trooper I rank up from 1 to 2 using Eng I and Pilot I is not an issue, and I’ve always got the upgrade on the role in the top slot.
Just tried this, I had a trooper in the first slot, and when completed i got the engineer from the second slot. So its not a thing. You’ve been very lucky it seems.
Maybe its been fixed, in a patch. Makes sense though since they have implemented the cards which provide you with a choice of which member is retained.
