Every nation uses the same medboxes and they are all German.
(useless fact of the day)
And the ammunition crates, what are they?
Looks like russian
Also all of the medic backpacks are german. Funny enough we have american medic bags modeled and they can be seen with halloween medic squad and m55 reising squad yet all the standard american medics use the german one
They should fix that.
There you go. And these ammo crates have been like that for all nations in this game since this game was launched.
It is one of the most silly things in this game, all ammo crates are the same for all nations since Enlisted was launched.
The same applies to the paratrooper equipment crates, in Enlisted the paratrooper of all nations use the same paratrooper crates but in reality they were different for all nations. The German ones were quite unique and interesting, they had attachable wheels turning them into wheeled carts after recovery by the paratroopers. And since the paratrooper crates in reality also had ammunition it would be a good idea for Enlisted to turn the paratrooper crates into ammunition crates after recovery.
Another silly thing in Enlisted is that almost every nation gets the Panzerschreck nowadays, which of course is silly since because that never happened in reality. The USSR in Enlisted gets to use the Panzerfaust as if it was general standard issue, which it was not. Some USSR soldiers used a captured Panzerfaust if available every now and then which was more the exception than the rule. WW2 troops could and did use captured enemy equipment, but that was more like “battlefield” pick-ups by individual soldiers not entire squads being fully equipped with captured enemy equipment at the start of battle like in Enlisted.
Almost every major nation in WW2 had instances where captured equipment was used “on the spur of the moment”, but actual standard issue to front-line units that was not.
The only possible exception to that was the German military which captured staggering amounts of enemy equipment on all fronts almost up to the end of the WW2. In some cases the Germany military re-issued captured enemy equipment after refurbishing it and/or altered it to use German ammunition (USSR Ppsh submachine guns and semi-automatic self-loading rifles). In 1943 the German military re-captured a USSR T-34 tank factory/repair workshop in the USSR Charkow area and used it produce modified German T-34s with added German equipment (such as German communication equipment etc.). For example the elite SS-Pz.Gr.Div. “Das Reich” in the Summer of 1943 had two “extra” companies in their anti-tank battalion equipped with these Charkow factory produced German T-34s, each company had about 17 to 22 T-34, so about 34 to 44 German T-34s in total that division alone. The German T-34s however are not to be found in Enlisted.
Another example is the 10. SS-Pz.Div. “Frundsberg” which in the city of Herrlisheim on the Western Front in 1944 captured about 50 M4 Sherman tanks from the USA 43rd Tank Battalion of the 12th US Armored Division “Hellcats” of the USA military. The 10. SS-Pz.Div. “Frundsberg” used these captured Sherman tanks up till the end of the war, they still reported having about 15 of these Sherman tanks in operational condition, with the remainder undergoing repair/maintenance in May 1945 if I remember correctly.
The German military did issue captured USSR Ppsh submachine guns to their front-line troops, because they captured so many of them and they were useful submachine guns. In Enlisted however this is not allowed, so the one captured weapon that WAS used and issued in significant numbers in WW2 to German troops is not available to them in Enlisted. Which is ironic. The German military captured more USSR PPsh submachine guns and semi-automatic self-loading rifles than the USSR had captured Panzerschreck and Panzerfaust during WW2, yet in Enlisted the USSR has more captured Panzerschreck and Panzerfaust available than Germany has captured USSR Ppsh submachine guns and semi-automatic self-loading rifles in the tech tree (= none!).
Germany generally only issued captured enemy weapons to training, logistics and garrison troops, so rear area troops, but not to actual front-line troops for the simple reason of logistics. Captured equipment needs ammunition in large numbers if it is to be used by front-line troops and while Germany did capture staggering amounts of enemy ammunition that was still not enough to sustain front-line troops with in sustained front-line combat. That is why German rear area troops were generally the ones using captured equipment. An exception to that was the USSR Ppsh submachine guns and the USSR self-loading rifles which were refurbished and issued to German front-line troops, albeit in limited numbers.
All in all Enlisted is a mess when it comes to this, and suffers from over the top USSR favouritism.
Which brings me back to the ammo crates and med boxes in Enlisted, it is rather amazing that these are not USSR ones as well in Enlisted lol.
maybe swiss ![]()
Yep been this way since forever
No.
This has been driving me crazy for months now…
It actually it relevant for game play as well. When you see ammo crates and med boxes, run up to them to be greeted by a message that you cannot use them.
For the radios in Enlisted at least this issue does not exist, every nation has its own radio equipment in Enlisted making it clear when you finally find one if it is friendly or enemy.
Not so with the ammo crates and med boxes in Enlisted, you have to waste time running up to them only to find out then that you cannot use them.
With the paratrooper crates it is the same thing, in Enlisted they all look the same for nation. This sort of thing is confusing to players and does have an impact on game play. If you run up to paratrooper crates to destroy them only to find out they are friendly or vice versa.
