Even when multiple AI armed with submachine guns are attacked at close range by players holding pull bolt rifles, they often do not react and are solved by players in close combat. AI’s combat power is so low that I have to put them in a safe place as backup, which is against the original intention of leading the team. In order to improve the combat ability of AI, at least the AI with submachine gun should be more dangerous than the player holding pull bolt rifle at close range.

The problem of the AI is more with reaction than anything else, from what I see they can detect you & face toward you from far away but fails to react even if you are standing next to them, in one match I would knocked down & literally was bandaging behind the AI backside without him reacting in any way.
As to speak with submachine guns specifically they might use to put them aggressive or shoot to suppress, having them sort of trigger lose would be good to intimidate the enemy, they might get lucky with it to have kill or two this way in CQC.

AI do seem pretty blind
I can walk into a room, spray and pray and kill an entire room of AI without a care in the world.
Even at range though, I’m finding that tackling the AI is more akin to duck hunt with one competent player among them. On multiple occasions, I’d spot a group, and just put one shot after another into them. Their only reaction was to snap around, fire a incredibly poor shot, and then just continue on walking.
There is no challenge with the AI right now

I understand what you picking at but this is the closed pre-alpha give them a break man, AI is not an easy thing to develop and takes tones of time and it still won’t be effective at fighting the other players, i am sure with time they will get better but for now we just have to wait the suppression mechanic mentioned earlier just means when you switch to that soldier you will have no ammo which clearly isn’t good. Give it time the Devs will eventually iron out the bugs.
I don’t think anyone is picking on them but stating facts, without it how could they fix stuff or enhance it. Ofc you could say they can do it themselves but we are here for that.
