So, CAS is realistic. However, too much CAS is plain annoying.
In order to balance this, maybe 50kgs should be removed from fighters to make them solely anti air, and on all aircraft there should be a time limit (i mean, theres no airfield in sight. pilot probably travelled quite a bit and does not have infinite fuel). this timer could be around 5 mins maybe. This would help both infantry as they do not get spammed with bombs for the whole round, and still keeps in the aspect of air support.
please add more suggestions below, CAS needs a bit of rebalancing.

While I agree that aircraft need adjustment, I don’t think fighters should have no ground attack. Remember that every player in a plane is one less player in an infantry squad. It only takes a few moments to drop a bomb and then return to fighting planes.
That being said, it might be an encouragement to fight other planes if you don’t have bombs, but if a player is determined to get infantry kills they will just strafe with their guns until they use up their ammo and go to rearm.
I think it’s a learning experience. When I first unlocked a fighter I just spammed rockets or bombs and ignored enemy planes. After a few matches I realised the importance of shooting enemy planes.
Sometimes it’s more about the individual player than the game mechanics. We can’t always ensure that our team mates do what they want us to do, but that’s when we step in ourselves and do our best.

yes but they should have to earn it some how lock it behind kills before u can fly or some thing capture a point some thing or make the the air craft timer like 7 mins or something just enough to stop the planes from bombing then flying straight into the ground
To be fair, the early planes aren’t great, and you only do well in them if you know how to fly the plane.
There is 2 planes max at the same time, they both spend about a minute or two rearming + it doesn’t happen so often to have 2 planes up at all times (lot of players don’t even have a plane squad equiped). For a fighter pilot, this would mean you hop into a plane, shoot down 1 or 2 planes and then stare at the monitor for 10 minutes till another plane shows up. If the opened up more slots for fighters then sure, but right now there is not much to do in the air. (and having more fighters means less infantry fighting on the ground so not a good idea either)
This isn’t exactly a bad idea, but this would make the air war into a war of luck. You pick a fighter, enemy sees it and just waits 5 minutes till the take out a bomber and so on. Not to mention it would make every bombing run a mess, since everyone would try to drop them off asap to rearm and do another one within the 5 minutes instead of properly aiming.
From both the perspective of a pilot and an infantry guy, I feel like the bombing itself is alright, the problem is infantry’s lack of air defense. I think an AA buff is all we really need. Slightly more ammo (even historically it had like 10 or 20 more), just slightly faster turning rate, more dmg. (speaking of AA they could add a small window for the shooter that can be shot by rifles as a counter when using AA against infantry.
Same with tanks, because they shouldn’t be spawning another one right after getting killed. On DDay they should disable tanks for axis on the beach and have allied tanks spawn from the water(amphibious).
thats a good idea to to be honest what i was thinking they have to wait 5 mins to get in the plane not just 1 slow them down a bit or some thing lock it behind kills so u have to have 30 infantry kills before you unlock the plane slow them down in the process of doing that u will stop the people who just bomb fly into the ground
and theres no way for non premium to counter planes if you take plane u cant counter tanks if you take a tank u cant counter a plane see the conundrum here
There is already no real reason to use fighters removing bombs would make them worse
