Why are they so gimped in terms of speed and acceleration? Only a handful of planes behave like they should, namely the 109s, P-38s, and Yaks. The rest seem to have massive limitations on how much power their engine can output making them sluggish and unable to recover at all after the initial dive.
Some planes like the Pe-2 and Pe-3 are almost utterly unable to turn due to either instructor limits or just complete lack of elevator authority while their counterpart the SB-2M turns on a dime or something like the 188 is both fast and can outfly US fighters.
Could you possibly see about removing these speed limitations and take a bit of a look at the Peshka’s flight model since the simple lack of being able to turn around in under 20 seconds makes it pretty pointless to equip, nevermind taking away the RBS-132s it initially had which made it an amazing alternative to the IL-2
