You are right… to each their own… which is why I said include the mechanic but have an option if you want to utilize it or not.
I don’t desire to… I like being engaged every second of the moment and believe the wait for spawning in planes at the start of a game and resupplying is enough of a delay to the power aircraft can bring.
And if you find it immersive… more the power to you… however as I’ve stated repeatedly I don’t and wouldn’t like it… but have no objection to it being given to those who do.
30 seconds every single run adds up… especially when games I play usually only go up to around 15 minutes or so.
I do play BRV primarily… now with jets this wouldn’t be that much of a problem however with the heavy bombers it would greatly affect them.
It’s not knee jerk.
I dislike it and explain why every single time it’s brought up… but am neutral to those who want it and wouldn’t mind THE OPTION… just not being forced.
Perhaps you felt personally insulted by that comment and thus your dedication to defending this topic and arguing with me.
And that’s fine… that comment comes purely out of the fact people desire this mechanic so much which the hidden agenda is to slow down plane gameplay because they dislike getting killed by them… and while not everyone may think that it’s why you’ll get people agreeing with this.
We can agree to disagree. I heavily dislike when a plane of an earlier tier is taking up the slot and dumbing down the teams air power… and damage or an enemy killing them is the only way to get them out.
I do think it’s that big of a deal.
You’ve never had a player in BRV take up the fighter slot with say bf 109 that’s pure cannons the entire time while you are getting rocked by tanks and a teammate who’s so incompetent they can’t take off their pre merge 110 G2.
I’m mainly complaining about the fact that they want landing to resupply and spawning from ground to be forced every time.
I have repeatedly said that I will be somewhat reasonable and agree if you want the option then that’s fine… just not be be forced.
And yes, I also said that in general I’m against this for that reason… but it’s what’s going to happen as a byproduct and is inevitable… that situation happens regardless.
