Give each team a transport plane, and each soldier a parachute. The team can get 3 times the points when being airborne team. The defense side has half a minute to prepare

Iād say one can start safe with 1 AI plane each flying straight line just like the AI bombers once per team, per game starting in the beggining right when the player planes become available to be spawned in and start hunting them.
The start/end of rounds should be the most climactic. Having even something small added which has players making choices that are both rewardable and counterable will spice things up in a natural manner each mach.
