Better situational awareness was needed, but so far it just seems like some of the AI (not all strangely, I’m still trying to figure out exactly which ones) turn around on a dime and absolutely wreck a player that should have the advantage. Often times before the player even takes a shot at them.
This needs to be revisited and toned down a little bit.
Tried the new AI in custom matches and while they did get better at shooting, they are still slow and thus easy to deal with even if they are more accurate now.
I like that they seek cover much more actively now and die a little slower.
New AI are far from snipers, but they won’t let you run around like headless chicken anymore.
They still can’t hit you reliably in adequate cover.
I think the 5 star troopers are a bit much lol. My squaddies were actually lasering people around me for the first time in ages. Tons of bots (i assume low star troopers) seemed as oblivious as ever
Nah they’re just compensating for some people’s lack of skill. After all, SOMEONE has to be better than the bottom of the scoreboard, so why not the bots? Let em have some 40-50 kills

All i know is some player’s Ju 188 will never hit me, no matter how dumb I fly, and some player’s Ju 188 will one tap my plane in half anytime i get close, even if I’m rolling and turning at massively perpendicular angle.
Ground bots performance also seems varied. Some are deaf and blind and won’t hit you even if you’re in pistol range and some seem rather alert snd shoot decently. It’s just a guess it has to do with their level

If it IS true then AI squads need to be level 4 or 5. Not level 1
No. Among many examples, the one that really pushed it over the edge was a game on Stalingrad (on defense), where I flanked up the far side of where the enemies were predominately coming in, got on a roof, went prone and crept up to the edge. Tons of enemies in front of me with a RD-44 in hand. About 20m from targets.
None of my AI guys had fired, I hadn’t yet fired, yet a whole bunch of the AI spun around just as got a line of sight on them, lasering me before I even had a chance to shoot.
The players were flooding into the two entrances, and the AI should have been focused on that direction, yet because I was the only person they could detect that they could hit (without trying to shoot through a wall), the immediately spun around and shot me.
THAT is the problem here.
I’m fine with them clipping people that are out of cover, running around, but shouldn’t be omniscient and shoot people they shouldn’t know are there.

Although I have noticed that bayonet charging them is a death sentence. Even from a very short distance
i mean i notice it once that ai suddenly look at my direction when im behind a wall and when i appear for a split second it got me but that could just be coincidence
