Just like the subject states. I have had AI in squads that decide their route to me is to run into a building a not be able to figure their way out of it.
Also, when you charge with your toon, why does the AI also not charge to keep up?
Another, I climb through a window in the back of a building and the AI decides to be polite and use the front door, getting killed in the process.
Ok, I’m done, thanks for listening.

Ive noticed the same things. If the room has a lot of furniture in it they get a bit confused or if the doorway is obstructed. For troops not jumping through windows my only suggestion is letting them follow you without giving them a command or place them like 40m from where you want to be at so you can freely move around

As a game dev myself (not for this game) I can tell you navigation is and always will be a problem lol, especially for a game like enlisted where there’s so many objects and multi floor buildings with jump off and crossable windows. It’s just hard to do for devs, for anyone, so it’s understandable for me. There are just certain placed where your AI’ll get stuck easily so maybe you can ping your squad to stay somewhere, or in case of spawn point, avoid building one in that sort of weird position.
Being 61 years old and playing video games since the late 1970’s, I can honestly say Enlisted AI bots are “THE WORST” I have ever experienced. I’ve played all the call of Duties, all the Medal of Honors just to name a few, and Enlisted IS THE WORST!!!
It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to give the bots basic improvements. I don’t care if my AI bots every kill anyone, but it shouldn’t take much effort to mirror them to run when the player runs, use the same entry and exit points the player uses, not walk or crawl in front of the player when trying to engage the enemy, and for the love of Pete, STAY where they are ordered to stay. The AI already mirror the player when the player goes prone, so, why can’t they mirror the player in the rest I have brought up? Only two reason why, either Gaijin has no competent AI techs, or they’re programmed this way on purpose. To be honest, my opinion has always been that the Dev’s view our AI as canon fodder for other players, and if one or two happens to survive, then he is yours to play with. Why else does bots when ordered to stay in a room, choose to stand in front of a door or window, go up to the roof or just walk outside all together totally disobeying orders. My guess is they are programmed to do this, just as seems like it’s programmed for your radioman or engineer to be killed first.
Yes, this has never changed, and they also like to take long detours.
IA has been like this since ages ago and from what it seems at least from developers view this inst a problem is a “”“feature”“” just like body armor and broken Graphics/shaders

Bots never keep up, find the worst way to get to you, never stay where they are told…the way of the AI bot…my big peeves are One bot of the squad who remains at the rally when you have pushed the point, stand infront of you while shooting or getting in the way while the Engineer is building so you can’t complete, standing on tanks blocking the view or running behind enemy lines so when switching to them and they are surrounded.
