AI learner from you specifically and match you play style

Ok guys I thought of something what if they made it where the AI learned from you specifically and no one else so the AI would match you play style and would also promote people to play the game more. What do y’all think ?

AI learning? In this game? You think the devs can do that? Right now AI has problems with the most basic things. For example, they can’t even use ladders or change weapons on their own. Not to mention all the bugs.
I would say manage your expectations.
Make that suggestion again in 4 years.

According to the devs this is already in the works or implemented

I read a couple times, IA in this game is learning. (I really doubt, but sounds interesting)

But, if really that IA has deep learning, it requires like billions of games to it to become intelligent like in that video (is really interesting, must watch)

do you imagine if IA in this game become intelligent? are we ready for thousands of players flooding the forums because IA is smarter than them because IA do really intelligent moves?

I don’t believe IA in this game is learning, but it would be really awesome to see and play against it.

I’ve seen the video before. Such AI would at least be a great game tester, finding all kinds of exploits. But yeah, much too powerful, like you say and takes too long to learn.
Of course, OP suggested the AI learning from the player, not on its own. I don’t even know if such a thing is possible/viable (I don’t really know much at all about this subject).

would be great the AI learn from us, but as we saw in the video, the IA required 10 Million games to learn to use the ramp to jump inside the room. I will die before my AI learn something from me

Here is the dev blog for those interested at reading it.

unfortunately, this post was of jenuary.

ai didn’t changed that much. you can see them now.

wow, just incredible.

i feel cold all of a sudden :joy:

well, yes and no.

the problem is, even in battlefield they tested such technology,

the backlash was, that the AI were so goddamn good. at the point where humans stood no chances.

because, weather the AI were " dumb " at the early stage, the started to learn how players worked, started to copy somewhat movements and actions ( at the point where they can even revive, throw smokes when danger is close by, throw ammo when needed ) and yada yada yada.

the problem is, they can become too much good, where it becomes a challenge just to take out 1. surely it’s an interestring aspect where enlisted devs can take a look at, but on the other hand, in enlisted self learning ai might become dangerous.

but we’ll see.
