I bet I can win as a single solder against a full team of AI, they are beyond worthless.
Is there really no way we can have them strong without them seeing through bushes?

They have nerfed them into the ground because they want to accommodate for the fast-paced lunatics because how else are they supposed to run in a room and mow everyone down without resistance.
With perks and micro management you can get reasnable performance of AI.
But in 90% of cases you will perform better by running and gunning.
In a room full of soldiers you shouldn’t tell your soldiers to shoot a man when it runs through a door if this is what we have to deal with how do you think endgames gonna turn out when AI can’t even defend themselves when the game play is gonna be more aggressive.
Most of the time the AI does not work well, but in Pacific I have managed to make good bottlenecks, you have to learn to manage them using the K key on PC, but within their inefficiency, they fulfill the role
My experience is that bots work the best with the following aspects:
On defensive maps, if you accommodate them properly, they can be a real firing squad. I have an anecdote in Tunisia (when the Axis forces were superior) in which, even though both teams were equal, they couldn’t cross since they had a door with several bots at them. sides shooting down anyone who tried to enter
